Meni Assayag cancels performance: "It barely covered the costs"
Meni Assayag, creator of the popular series "The 80s," has canceled his upcoming show in Ariel. The artist candidly revealed to his followers that the decision was driven by disappointing ticket sales that failed to cover production expenses.
Meni Assayag, creator of the series "The 80s" and brother of Shalom Assayag, was scheduled to perform in Ariel alongside Natan Salomon. However, due to insufficient ticket sales, Assayag announced the last-minute cancellation of the show.
In a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Meni Assayag shared:
"Hi beloved and dear ones: I was forced to cancel the show in Ariel that was supposed to take place tomorrow. I could tell you tall tales and make excuses, but we are people of truth, and the truth is that the advance ticket sales were disappointing, which barely covered the costs."
Assayag emphasized that he remains optimistic about the future:
"We are not breaking and not despairing, and we are looking forward to the show in Tirat Carmel on August 19, with God's help. A million thanks to those who purchased tickets and to all the good people who constantly shared the posts, and of course to all the right-wing groups on Facebook that are always ready to assist. Be blessed from heaven, amen."
In conclusion, he extended a special thanks to Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, Yoav 'HaTzel' Eliasi, and Osnat Zohar for their support. "My apologies to the good folks who were invited. Everything is a test from God. More time has opened up to study Torah from my new holy books. The people of Israel live!"
