The festive launch event of the Originals Sport collection by Adidas and Foot Locker attracted the most prominent names in the world of entertainment and fashion in Israel. The atmosphere heated up with DJ Hodia Cohen, and the evening concluded with a workout that showcased the items in motion. At the center of the fashion celebration was the model, businesswoman, and reality star Maya Kay, who arrived in a flattering look straight from her birthday celebrations and the opening of the new pop-up for her business brand.

Maya Kay, who was previously selected for the 30Under30 list of Forbes Israel, arrived at the event while combining the world of modeling with the world of entrepreneurship. In an open conversation, she shared her feelings about the event and her personal and professional life.

The event took place close to the 24th birthday celebrations of Kay, who returned from a trip abroad. When asked about the weekend celebrations, she said with excitement:

"It was perfect. I was on a trip, we returned, and now I landed into all the madness, but it was amazing."

Of course, we reminded her that she looked festive in a white dress, but Maya was quick to correct: "Green dress! Just celebrating." When asked about the next stage in her life, she answered honestly: "I'm still at the previous stage, so I don't know. I'm moving forward little by little."

Beyond her modeling career, Kay is marking another significant step in the business world. She is a partner and founder of the lifestyle brand Glammie, in collaboration with the Super-Pharm chain. On the day of the event, a new pop-up for the brand was launched at the Ramat Aviv Mall:

"We have a new pop-up in Ramat Aviv in collaboration and it's super exciting, because we did crazy work today and it took so much time to do it. Come, friends, come to our pop-up in Ramat Aviv."

Maya's transition to the role of entrepreneur is not just symbolic, and she is involved in all stages of development and strategy of the company, which offers products like selfie sticks, smart AI tripods, and magnetic chargers. When asked how it feels to open an independent business, she answered:

"Wow, I won't say it's like giving birth, because I've never been pregnant, but still, it's terribly hard and requires a lot of thought, attitude towards the customer, good communication, and it's mainly hard work, and it takes time."

Regarding the extent of her involvement in day-to-day management, she added: "I don't know if to call it involved, because I am a part. I have my team, I have the team of people who know what they are doing, and that's how we give it a stage." Building a winning team is a complex process that requires patience. To the question of how to choose a good team, she replied: "I think it's based on my experience over the years, and to discover every time anew."

When asked about the product she is most proud of, she mentioned the "selfie stick." Regarding the long process it took to turn the idea into a sold shelf product, she said:

"First of all, it was in ideas a year and a half ago. Until execution, it took a lot of time, because there were prototypes and there were disappointments and there were cancellations and there were a million and one things. And it's just a terribly long process and you need to be patient, that's the key."

In the world of business, dealing with criticism is an inseparable part of the way. Maya presents a mature business approach regarding reactions from the audience: "I think it's a part. You need to accept it because it's constructive criticism, and when you are new in the business world you feed on these things for the better, because in the end the customer is the right side, and it's a good dialogue in my opinion."

Alongside her professional success, Kay is also celebrating personal achievements, including the purchase of a new car. When asked what it's like to drive it, she replied briefly: "Lovely." Towards the end of the interview, she shared a practical piece of advice:

"I think the only tip I learned both in life and from my friends is to enter your bank account every day. Every day to enter the app. It's a good tip, to be aware. Always."
