In her remarks, Maya Buskila made a painful confession: "I had a horrific pregnancy, it was hard for me at 35. It is highly likely that it will be hard for me now as well."
Singer Maya Buskila was a guest on the podcast "Ha-Barziya" by Bepo and ynet, hosted by Bar Zaga, and spoke about her and her husband Shauli Shloim's desire, who is 18 years her junior, to expand their family. During the conversation, Buskila addressed the comments she receives from those around her when she talks about her dream of bringing another child into the world at age 48.
"What is 'now'? I am trying to understand this 'now' that they keep telling me about. I don't know what it means when they tell me 'now, at your age.' I don't have those concepts."
At the same time, the singer confirmed that there are significant differences between pregnancy and childbirth in her 20s and 30s compared to her current age, which is approaching 50. Buskila also referred to the negative experience she had 13 years ago when she became a mother for the first time in her life.
"It was hard for me at 35, it is highly likely that it will be hard for me now as well. I had a horrific pregnancy. I am in shock that I am even thinking about having another child. First of all, it is important to him and it is important to me that we have one. He adopted Lenny in every way. Lenny is his, he has a child. He is a full-time father."
Later in her remarks, Maya Buskila noted that the process of expanding the family is still in its infancy: "It is still in the testing stages, we still don't know what needs to be done. It is in the first months."
When asked by Zaga if she feels the need to give birth to this child herself, the singer answered in the affirmative without any hesitation: "Yes, I admit it, I won't lie. I think it will always be a different feeling. I am problematic. I need to feel the suffering for it to be mine."
