Max Stock breaks records and jumps by 30%: will distribute dividends in the tens of millions
Following exceptionally strong financial reports and an unusual increase in profits, the popular retail chain will distribute a dividend of 50 million shekels and open five new branches across the country.

The Max Stock chain published its financial results for the second quarter of 2026 on Tuesday, showing that revenues grew by approximately 13% to 379 million shekels, compared to 336 million shekels in the corresponding quarter of 2025. This growth was driven by a 7% increase in same-store sales (SSS) and the opening of new branches.
The increase in same-store sales was recorded due to higher customer traffic and a larger average basket size, despite the timing of the Passover holiday. The rise in average item price reflects a shift in product mix and increased sales of higher-value items.
Financial Performance
Gross profit for the second quarter of 2026 rose by 21% to 178 million shekels, compared to 147 million shekels in the same period of 2025. The gross profit margin reached a record 47.1% of revenues, up from 43.8% in the previous year. This improvement was largely due to a decrease in the dollar exchange rate and optimized logistics costs.
Operating profit increased by 36% to 77 million shekels (20.3% of revenues). Net profit grew by 30% to 36 million shekels (9.5% of sales turnover). This growth was partially offset by financial expenses, specifically a 27 million shekel loss from dollar hedging transactions.
Half-Year Results
For the first half of 2026, revenues grew by 15% to 780 million shekels. Operating profit surged by 52% to 154 million shekels, while net profit rose by 45% to 86 million shekels. Adjusted EBITDA increased by 46% to 153 million shekels.
As of June 30, 2026, the company held 102 million shekels in net cash, with financial debt totaling 31 million shekels. Equity stood at 287 million shekels.
Dividends and Expansion Strategy
The board of directors announced a dividend distribution of 50 million shekels, payable on September 9, 2026. This follows an 80 million shekel dividend paid on April 15, 2026.
The chain currently operates 65 branches. Since the beginning of the year, new locations have been inaugurated in Be'er Sheva, Or Akiva, and Hod HaSharon. Future plans include opening branches in Gan Yavne, Bnei Brak, Ofakim, and Tirat Carmel, alongside the expansion of the Kiryat Yam branch.
Uri Max, founder and CEO of Max Stock, stated:
"We are presenting strong results with impressive revenue growth of 13%. These figures reflect continued growth in visitor volume and constant upgrading of our product mix. We remain committed to expanding our national presence, with plans to open 5 additional owned branches by the end of 2027."
