Argentine Authorities Weigh Arrest Warrant for Footballer Mauro Icardi
Argentine authorities are reportedly weighing an arrest warrant for Galatasaray striker Mauro Icardi following allegations by his ex-wife Wanda Nara regarding their 11-year-old daughter.

The high-profile dispute between Argentine footballer Mauro Icardi and media personality Wanda Nara has taken a serious turn, with local authorities reportedly weighing an arrest warrant for the Galatasaray striker following allegations of domestic abuse involving their 11-year-old daughter. A court in Tigre has issued a 45-day restraining order barring the player from approaching or contacting the child.
The incident occurred on Friday at Icardi's residence in the upscale Nordelta neighborhood near Buenos Aires. According to local reports, the girl contacted her mother via computer asking to be picked up, alleging that her father had struck and threatened her. Nara, who was filming a television program at the time, rushed to the scene alongside police and medical personnel.
Preliminary medical examinations found no severe injuries requiring hospitalization, though doctors recommended further checks for a minor knee bruise. Icardi has strongly denied the accusations, maintaining that the dispute arose after he refused to let his daughter go out to meet friends.
Under the court order, the footballer must maintain a distance of at least 100 meters from his daughter and 300 meters from her residence and frequented locations, with a strict ban on any direct or indirect communication.
Journalist Yanina Latorre reported that police later arrived at Icardi's home to retrieve the girl's mobile phone and bag, but the player allegedly refused to surrender the items. Authorities are now evaluating potential legal measures, including a possible arrest, as Nara pushes for formal minor testimony.
