Authorities Seize 16 Dogs in Mas'ade Over Severe Neglect and Missing Licenses
Authorities seized sixteen dogs of a dangerous breed in Mas'ade amid severe neglect and missing licenses during a joint operation on October 18.

Authorities seized four adult dogs and twelve puppies of a breed classified as dangerous during an enforcement operation in the local council of Mas'ade. The raid, conducted on October 18, followed suspicions of severe neglect, lack of proper licensing, and missing vaccinations, according to the Eastern Galilee Cluster.
The joint operation involved the cluster's regional veterinary service, the Mas'ade local council, and the Israel Police. Inspectors, veterinary officials, and law enforcement officers arrived at the site to confiscate the animals under statutory authority after finding them kept in deplorable and neglectful conditions.
Mas'ade Council Head Salman Batihe noted that local residents had raised concerns about the situation. He emphasized that authorities will not stand idly by in the face of illegal conduct that harms animal welfare and public safety, adding that pet ownership entails strict legal compliance and responsibility.
Dr. Omar Halihal, acting director of the veterinary service, stated that the operation forms part of ongoing efforts to promote public health and animal welfare. He noted that cooperation with the local council and police ensured a professional and effective field response.
