"Hammer of Gods": US unveils new electronic warfare system

The US Army has unveiled an innovative electronic warfare system called "Hammer of Gods," designed to deceive enemy precision-guided munitions and cause them to miss their targets. The mobile electronic system, which can be deployed covertly from military vessels, blinds the guidance systems of long-range artillery, guided missiles, and cruise missiles, thereby significantly reducing their effectiveness.

The jamming system operates by blocking positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) signals of precision weapons, which are essential for hitting intended targets. Without PNT data, these advanced weapon systems are effectively "blind," increasing the chance of mission failure. The system also deploys a communication network that ensures friendly forces remain connected.

The US Army has been testing ground-based versions of the system for two years, but the experiment conducted earlier this month off the US West Coast marks the first time the system has been demonstrated for maritime use. Military officials stated that the experiment proved the system can be deployed, operated, and retrieved in a real maritime environment, marking a leap forward in defensive capabilities.
