A shameful incident occurred at the West Ham United training ground in London, when pro-Palestinian activists arrived at the complex on the night between Monday and Tuesday, spread Palestinian flags around the perimeter, and released a video message opposing the signing of Israeli legionnaire Manor Solomon. In the video uploaded to social media, the activists expressed their disagreement with the signing, stating: "We will continue to make our voices heard until he leaves the club."

The incident comes against the backdrop of a shaky start to the season for West Ham. Solomon himself started well on a personal level, scoring a debut goal in the 2:2 draw against Burnley, but in the second round, the Hammers lost 1:0 to Charlton. This evening, Tuesday, the Israeli midfielder will try to lead his team to their first victory of the season in the Cup, when he faces Southampton and his national team teammate, Daniel Peretz.

Solomon continues the tradition of Israeli footballers who have worn the club's jersey, starting with Eyal Berkovic, who was the first Israeli at West Ham in the late 90s and recorded over 70 appearances and 12 goals. Following him, Yossi Benayoun starred in the mid-2000s and became one of the most prominent players in the team, alongside Yaniv Katan, who played for the club for half a season, and Tal Ben Haim. Now, despite the glorious past of Israelis at the club, Solomon's path to leaving a positive mark may encounter hardships.
