Manor Solomon and Tottenham survive earthquake in New Zealand: "Still assessing the situation"

Contrary to expectations, Manor Solomon, who began the season training with Tottenham despite persistent rumors of a potential departure, started in the team's first training match. The Israeli traveled with the squad to their training camp in New Zealand, where he encountered a highly unsettling moment.

Hours after the "Spurs" landed in the country, where they are set to face Auckland tomorrow (Sunday, 6:00 Israel time) for the opening match of the tour, a 5.9 magnitude earthquake shook the region. According to the Michigan Tech scale, such tremors are capable of causing damage to buildings and infrastructure.

GeoNet, New Zealand's natural hazard monitoring system, classified the event as a "strong earthquake." The New Zealand Herald reported that over 20,000 people felt the tremors, and emergency services are "still assessing the situation." Fortunately for Manor Solomon and his teammates, the earthquake occurred more than 320 kilometers away from their base in Auckland.

"The goal is to complete the attack"

Tottenham was not affected by the earthquake, and the team's manager, Roberto De Zerbi, held his first press conference since the start of the camp. His comments regarding the club's transfer strategy may give Manor Solomon cause for concern.

"I think our transfer window is not finished yet. We have to complete it, we have to add a few more players. We need to be stronger, because in the last two seasons we didn't do what Tottenham needs to do. At the end of the transfer window, we will take care of completing the squad, but right now I am very excited," the Italian stated.

He then addressed the specific positions where the Israeli star plays:

"Yes, the goal now is to complete the attacking positions. We want to bring in players of the highest level. We have important players, but I think that to start a new project we need to add a few more significant players, without a doubt."
