Manchester United is mired in a deep crisis, with manager Michael Carrick facing intense pressure following an eight-match winless streak across all competitions. The Red Devils currently sit 16th in the Premier League table with just seven points from eight matches, hovering one point above the relegation zone, and have suffered two defeats in their opening three Champions League fixtures.

Despite the mounting pressure, midfielder Youri Tielemans has come out in staunch support of the under-fire boss. Speaking to TNT Sports, the Belgian international, who arrived from Aston Villa in the summer for 35 million pounds, emphasized that the dressing room remains firmly behind Carrick.

"I came here partly because of him, because he wanted me here," Tielemans said. "He wanted me to help the team, and that is why I desperately want him to stay. The entire squad does not want a sudden change. We do not want a major disruption that would only make things worse. We simply need stability, we need to keep working hard, and at some point, things will turn around."

Tielemans joined Old Trafford following direct talks with Carrick and insisted that the players retain full belief in their manager despite a difficult week that featured back-to-back defeats by a three-goal margin. United will look to steady the ship on Saturday when they travel to face Chelsea in a crucial fixture that could prove decisive for Carrick's future.
