The celebrity couple, Lucy Aharish and Tsahi Halevi, are taking a stand against online defamation by launching a significant series of lawsuits totaling 600,000 shekels.

As reported previously, this involves five defamation lawsuits against right-wing activists filed by Adv. Amit Mor from the Naschitz, Brandes, Amir & Co. law firm, as part of the activities of the 'defamation situation room' led by Hadas Klein. The lawsuits were filed against several social media activists who, according to the plaintiffs, spread blood libels, lies, and wild incitement against journalists, protest leaders, and social entrepreneurs.

The two main lawsuits are against Yaakov Trento for 350,000 shekels for conducting a racist and misogynistic campaign against Aharish, including calling her a 'terrorist,' and against Lior Lev for 250,000 shekels, who published an edited photo of Aharish with Hamas imagery and labeled Halevi a traitor. Three additional lawsuits were filed for 75,000 shekels each.

Speaking to Liora Goldenberg-Stern in Maariv, Aharish addressed the decision to file these lawsuits for the first time:

'People cannot think that they can spread lies about me, call me a terrorist, and think that it will pass without consequence. Perhaps when it hits their pocket, people will understand that lying, bullying, incitement, and racism have a price.'
