The strange criticism Manor Solomon received after Tottenham's victory

Manor Solomon continues to earn trust from Roberto De Zerbi during Tottenham's pre-season matches. This Sunday morning, he once again started in the lineup, this time against Auckland in the match that opened the Spurs' tour in New Zealand, and played 78 minutes in the 2:0 victory.
The Israeli was involved in the first goal after receiving a precise through ball from Archie Gray; although he failed to beat the goalkeeper with a one-touch shot, the rebound fell to Dane Scarlett, who rolled it into an empty net and ran to celebrate with Solomon.
Despite Solomon's high involvement in the game, there were expectations in London for more. On the "football.london" website, he received a rating of 6 for the first half: "He had a few moments where he should have done better as the half progressed."
In the second half, De Zerbi made at least six substitutions, bringing on players expected to be significant parts of the squad this season, but he chose to keep Solomon on the pitch, shifting him from the right wing to an attacking midfield role. Here too, he faced criticism: "Again provided moments where it seemed he could produce something, but did not do so."
Solomon is currently awaiting clarity on his professional future and is receiving minutes to showcase his abilities to other clubs for a potential permanent transfer. While it appears that Fiorentina has moved on after talks with Tottenham stalled, he will continue to explore his options, as reports indicate that Tottenham will not release him for free.
