The Israeli girls' youth national team defeated Iceland 89:69 today, Friday, in the quarter-finals of the European Championship Division B, securing a ticket to the semi-finals. The team is now just one win away from promotion to Division A.
The players under Roi Eisenberg presented an impressive offensive performance in the first half, finishing with 7 three-pointers at 50% accuracy, which helped them head into the break with a double-digit lead of 50:37. In the second half, Israel took full command by tightening their defense and creating a decisive breakaway, leaving the Icelandic team unable to respond. Tomorrow, Saturday, Israel will face the winner of the Austria vs. Great Britain match in the semi-finals.
