Eli Ohana's wife reveals financial situation: 'Where is the money?'
Adi Ohana, wife of former footballer Eli Ohana, shared on a podcast how she deals with the 'wife of' label and addressed claims that she married him for money. She also revealed details about their unconventional wedding in Givatayim.
Adi Ohana, wife of former footballer and media personality Eli Ohana, was a guest on the podcast "You Don't Choose Family," hosted by attorney Liat Sklarz. She shared how she deals with the fact that many identify her primarily as "Eli Ohana's wife." According to her, she does not see this as belittling, but rather as a source of pride.
"I am proud to be the wife of," said Ohana. "I know who I am and what I am. It doesn't bother me when people say 'the wife of' and try to belittle. It is impossible to belittle me. Eli, in my opinion, has reached every possible peak, including now that he has returned to prime time, and that is a source of pride."
During the conversation, host Liat Sklarz spoke about how Eli Ohana attracts attention wherever he goes, and Ohana replied that this is exactly the reason why she is proud to be identified as his wife.
Later, Adi also addressed the criticism that accompanied the beginning of their relationship due to the age gap. According to her, there were those who claimed that she chose to marry Ohana for financial reasons.
"A 23-year-old woman marries a 40-year-old man? They will say, 'Why did she go with him? Because of the money.' They will say it, always. There were those who would tell me 'because of the money,' so I would say: 'But where is the money?'" she said with a laugh.
Ohana also revealed further details about the couple's marriage, sharing that they chose to marry in a small ceremony at the rabbinate in Givatayim, rather than at a large event. According to her, the wedding took place at 10:00 AM, and if it had been up to Eli Ohana, they might not have gotten married at all.
Adi said that she arrived at the wedding in an improvised outfit, after a designer friend helped her at the last minute with an improvised veil. She explained that after attending many glamorous events over the years, she preferred an intimate and simple ceremony. Her family members were surprised by the unconventional look, but in the end, it was precisely this unusual choice that made the wedding day unforgettable.
