US President Donald Trump posted today, Saturday, on the Truth social network a series of AI-generated images showing fighter jets, possibly en route to Iran, and Iranian ships on the seabed. At the same time, he took a jab at his predecessors, Joe Biden and Barack Obama, claiming they did not dare to use force against the regime during their presidencies as he does. In another post, the American president uploaded an AI-generated image with a graph showing that the Iranian currency has suffered a major devaluation since he entered the White House.
As previously reported by CNN and CBS, the United States is preparing to resume strikes in Iran against the backdrop of failed diplomatic efforts and a hardening tone from President Donald Trump. The scope of the attack and the targets to be included have not yet been finalized, but among the options being considered are missile sites and energy infrastructure.
The Wall Street Journal reported today that Trump has approved a new round of strikes, which may begin over the weekend and last for several days. Simultaneously, a senior Iranian security official threatened that if Iran is attacked, Tehran will respond by hitting vital infrastructure in Israel and American energy facilities in the region.
Ali Abdollahi, commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters of the Iranian army, sent a sharp message to countries in the region warning against cooperation with the United States. According to him, "The United States is acting at an increasing pace to expand the fire of regional war," exploiting the "capital, infrastructure, and strategic resources" of Middle Eastern countries to serve as a "shield for the exhausted American army" and to strengthen Israel.
"Muslim countries must reconsider cooperation with the United States. Any country that turns itself into a shield for the criminal and aggressive United States will burn in the fire of war," warned Abdollahi.
