The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched several ballistic missiles early this morning, Wednesday, toward a United States Army base in Jordan. All missiles were successfully intercepted by American forces. Iran is now threatening that Tehran is prepared for a regional war.
United States Central Command (CENTCOM) reported that the missile attack was planned as a surprise strike against American forces stationed in the Middle East. US officials confirmed that the target was a base in Jordan and emphasized that air defense systems intercepted all threats. Following the incident, American forces in the area were placed on high alert.
Simultaneously with the launches, residents in Eilat documented interceptions in the city's skies overnight. The Iranian news agency "Fars" cited Arab sources who reported hearing sounds of powerful explosions in the skies over Jordan, apparently as a result of air defense systems engaging the ballistic missiles.
Immediately upon the start of the event, Seyed Mohammad Marandi, an associate of the IRGC and a member of the Iranian negotiating team, posted a threatening message on his X account: "Iran is fully prepared for an all-out war."
