Congressman Randy Fine, widely known as the "Hebrew Hammer," won the Republican primary in Florida's 6th Congressional District, decisively defeating internet influencer Dan Bilzerian and other challengers. With 99 percent of the votes counted, Fine secured over 51,000 votes compared to fewer than 17,000 for Bilzerian.

Despite the clear margin, Bilzerian, whose campaign was marked by aggressive personal and antisemitic attacks, claimed the election was rigged. "They clearly cheated, they literally took away my votes," Bilzerian wrote on X on August 18, 2026.

The campaign drew sharp condemnation from political leaders. House Speaker Mike Johnson denounced the "vile" campaign ads, which used AI to target Fine with antisemitic slurs. "There is no place for antisemitism and open hatred toward Jewish communities in our politics or in America," Johnson stated.

Fine, who was first elected to Congress in 2025, entered the race with significant advantages, including the endorsement of President Donald Trump, who labeled him a "MAGA fighter." Given the district's solid Republican lean, Fine is now the heavy favorite for the November general election.

Dan Bilzerian, an Instagram personality and founder of Ignite International Brands, shifted his public persona drastically after October 7, 2023. He has since promoted various antisemitic conspiracy theories, including claims that Jews were responsible for the 9/11 attacks and the assassination of John F. Kennedy. Days before the primary, he posted on X: "District 6 understands the Jewish problem."

The rise of antisemitic rhetoric in political campaigns has become a point of concern in the House of Representatives. Fine, the only Jewish Republican legislator in Florida, remains a prominent voice against antisemitism and in support of Israel, embracing the "Hebrew Hammer" nickname he earned from his colleagues.
