The Likud party issued a sharp statement criticizing Channel 12, accusing the network of broadcasting "false political propaganda" against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the party during memorial events marking three years since the October 7 attacks.

Likud Accusations and Security Protocols

In its official statement, Likud claimed that Channel 12's broadcasts are designed "to overthrow the right-wing government and lead to a left-wing government that will establish a Palestinian state." The party defended Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's actions leading up to the October 7 events, citing official state documents and intelligence reports.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not receive any advance warning before October 7 regarding the Hamas attack from the Gaza Strip, as testified by President Trump, Biden's advisor Brett McGurk, the governments of the UAE and Egypt, and others.

According to Likud, intelligence assessments prior to the attacks repeatedly stated that Hamas was deterred and seeking stability. The party noted that the Prime Minister was first updated on the Hamas assault at 06:29 on October 7, arguing that security chiefs failed to act on early indicators or notify political leadership in real time.

Political Warnings and Future Elections

Likud concluded its statement by warning against opposition figures, alleging that the media campaign aims to install a left-wing government led by figures such as Gadi Eisenkot, Yair Golan, Avigdor Lieberman, and Naftali Bennett, which would allegedly concede territory and establish a Palestinian state.
