Ofer Winter, chairman of the Amcha Yisrael party, launched a scathing attack on Yisrael Beytenu leader Avigdor Lieberman during a political conference on Tuesday evening. Winter claimed that Lieberman misleads voters by promising a decisive victory for the right-wing camp, arguing that partnering with figures like Yair Golan makes true decisive action impossible.

In response, Lieberman hit back at the newcomer politician, stating: "Ofer, my friend, in the State of Israel the IDF is subordinate to the government, and therefore the entire government, and especially the prime minister, bear responsibility for the October 7 massacre, the greatest tragedy in the history of the Jewish people since the Holocaust. Three years have passed since then, and the defeatist dodging government has failed to achieve victory on any front. Those who cannot achieve victory for three years will never achieve it."

Lieberman further added: "This is a direct result of the conception and containment policy led by Benjamin Netanyahu throughout his 19 years in office. This includes the release of Yahya Sinwar and 1,026 other terrorists alongside him, the ceasefire agreement with Hamas during Operation Protective Edge, and the transfer of Qatari cash funds into the Gaza Strip, a move initiated and led by Netanyahu himself."
