At the end of his interrogation, the court ordered his release to house arrest.
A 15-year-old teenager was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of abusing a kitten in the Old City of Jerusalem, after he was documented hitting and kicking it in the Lions' Gate area. The incident was identified in real time by observers at the "Mabat 2000" control center, who directed police officers and Border Police fighters to the scene.
According to the police, the observers noticed the incident in the area of Bab al-Hutta Street. Following the identification, officers from the David District and Jerusalem Border Police fighters from the Old City battalion began operations to locate the suspect, with the assistance of the observers. During the activity, the teenager, a resident of the area, was located, arrested, and transferred for interrogation at the David District.
At the end of his interrogation, the suspect was brought before the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court, which ordered his release to house arrest. The investigation file was transferred to the Israel Police prosecution unit for the purpose of examining further proceedings against him.
