Houthis raid villages under their control: dozens of civilians forcibly evacuated

The Houthi terrorist organization has once again attacked forces supported by Saudi Arabia. The assault was carried out using missiles and UAVs, with no casualties reported so far. At the same time, the Ministry of Human Rights in Hodeidah province, western Yemen, noted in a press release that Houthi terrorists worked to completely empty dozens of homes and villages, turning some of them into sites and camps for the terrorist organization.

The statement also urged the United Nations and humanitarian organizations to urgently document these violations, exert pressure to protect civilians, and quickly provide emergency aid to displaced families, including food, water, shelter, and medical care.

Human rights organizations have been operating in Yemen for many years, despite the severe harm inflicted upon them by the terrorist group. An example of this occurred last month, when it was reported that the Houthis hijacked a Red Cross plane at the international airport in Sanaa.

The Red Cross maintained its presence in Yemen even after Houthi terrorists raided their offices in Sanaa in November 2025 and held dozens of employees hostage. The terrorists confiscated mobile phones and laptops and cut off communication with the staff. After several hours, the devices were returned and many employees were released—but not all of them.
