Ben-Menachem noted that attacks on Israel cannot be ruled out. According to his assessment, Tehran's primary goal is to "reach a situation where American soldiers' blood is spilled." Iran believes this would severely damage Donald Trump's chances of winning the election, making it easier for them to deal with the USA in the future.
Earlier today, the Financial Times reported that Iran is considering expanding its circle of attacks to Europe should the US escalate the war. According to the report, Iranian forces have examined potential targets in the southeast of the continent, primarily in Bulgaria, after the country authorized the use of an airbase for American refueling aircraft last month.
