Channel 14 investigation sparks reactions: MK calls for banning Ra'am

MK Zvika Fogel of the Otzma Yehudit party commented today (Thursday) in a post on Facebook regarding the comprehensive investigation conducted by our Arab affairs correspondent, Omri Haim, in his film "Mansour Abbas - The Polite Jihad," which examined the figure of the Ra'am chairman. The MK praised the investigation and stated:

"The excellent investigation by Omri Haim from Channel 14 reinforces what has been raised time and again in committee discussions, and illustrates how vital this struggle is for Israel's security."

According to Fogel, he has been working for some time, as chairman of the National Security Committee, to outlaw the movement:

"I have held a series of discussions on the issue of the Islamic Movement's activities and I am even working to promote the move to outlaw it. The excellent investigation by Omri Haim from Channel 14 reinforces what has been raised time and again in committee discussions, and illustrates how vital this struggle is for Israel's security. I will continue to act decisively against any entity that operates against the State of Israel from within its institutions."

As recalled, this week the documentary film about the Islamic Movement, "Mansour Abbas, The Polite Jihad," was broadcast on Channel 14. Since then, the film has sparked numerous reactions from senior figures in Israel's public system, and alongside Fogel, as we reported, Avi Maoz, Almog Cohen, Moshe Feiglin, and others also reacted to the film.
