According to reports, the aircraft was diverted for an operational stop to refuel before continuing its journey to Phuket.
In recent weeks, Arkia has faced intense criticism over a series of scheduling issues. About two weeks ago, a flight bound for Vilnius was forced to turn back shortly after takeoff due to a potential bird strike. A day later, an Arkia flight headed to Ramon Airport (Eilat) turned around in mid-air following a missile launch from Iran toward Jordan, which borders Eilat.
Furthermore, social media has been flooded with hundreds of comments from frustrated passengers complaining about delays, cancellations, and a lack of communication from the airline. Customers have long reported difficulties reaching representatives and experiencing long wait times, leading to widespread dissatisfaction.
