The puzzling tweet by PR specialist Rany Rahav – which has still not been removed from the web

A tweet by PR specialist Rany Rahav is causing confusion online after it appeared he completely missed a cynical joke by a user regarding the memorial to former Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin – and responded to it, it seems, as if it were an act of vandalism committed by an unknown person.

It all started when a user on the X network uploaded a photo of the memorial located at the site where Yitzhak Rabin was murdered in Tel Aviv. However, her attention was drawn specifically to a design detail: the inscription on the memorial includes non-uniform fonts.

The user decided to address this with humor and wrote cynically: "The mixing of fonts is the second murder." The intention, as clearly emerges from the context, was a design "crime" – and not an event that actually occurred at the memorial. However, Rahav, as it appears from his response, did not understand the cynicism. The PR specialist responded to the tweet and wrote: "There are cameras, the criminal must be found, may his name and memory be blotted out."

The unusual response raises the possibility that Rahav believed the user was referring to an act of vandalism or defacement committed at the memorial – and therefore called for locating the "criminal" using security cameras. As of the time of this article's publication, Rahav's puzzling response still appears on his account on the X network.
