After four of the five top European leagues got underway, this evening (Friday) the Bundesliga joined in with the match of the champion, Bayern Munich, which dismantled Stuttgart without difficulty. In France, the champion and European champion of the last two years, Paris Saint-Germain, is still without a win after two rounds, and escaped defeat by the skin of its teeth thanks to two goals in stoppage time. Milan opened the second round of the Italian league with a victory over Venezia.

Lille - Paris Saint-Germain 2:2

12 days ago, PSG lost the French Super Cup to Lens. A week later, it opened the season in the French league with a 2:2 draw against Rennes after trailing 2:0 thanks to a brace by Ferran Torres. This evening, exactly the same thing happened to them in the match that opened the second round in France - only after much greater drama. The French and European champion went to an away game against Lille with the goal of achieving a first victory of the season on the domestic stage, but again found itself trailing 2:0 from goals by Hakon Haraldsson (21) and Dylan Bakwa (84) - with the ageless Olivier Giroud (39) assisting both goals. The hosts already saw the victory, but Vitinha narrowed the gap in the 91st minute after an assist by Mika Hodas in his debut appearance, and assisted the equalizer to the captain, Marquinhos, five minutes into stoppage time. Luis Enrique's group again escapes defeat, but it certainly seems that it has not yet arrived at the start of the season in France.

Bayern Munich - Stuttgart 1:5

Without Jamal Musiala, who is still not playing due to the medical problem he is suffering from, the German champion opened the season in the Bundesliga where it finished the previous season - with a crushing victory. Bayern hosted Stuttgart for the match that opened the first round and dismantled it with four goals in the second half. The first half ended with one goal, when Dayot Upamecano scored in the 21st minute. The guest surprised with an equalizer in the 52nd minute by Josha Vagnoman, but this only woke up the Bavarian giant. Michael Olise returned the lead to Bayern in the 55th minute, and two minutes later Vagnoman scored again - this time an own goal - and set the score at 1:3. In the 61st minute, Bayern's new signing, Ismael Saibari, entered and assisted the fourth to Aleksandar Pavlovic in the 82nd minute. The Moroccan capped an official debut for the movies with a second assist, this time to Luis Diaz in stoppage time - and signed off the celebration.

Milan - Venezia 0:2

The Rossoneri are 2 for 2 in the two rounds, despite not being overly impressive against the newly promoted side. After a scoreless first half, substitute Alexis Saelemaekers assisted Goncalo Ramos for his first goal in a Milan uniform ten minutes after entering (69). One minute before stoppage time, Milan closed the matter with an own goal by Redouane Halhal.
