While Maccabi Tel Aviv is negotiating the sale of Roy Revivo following an official offer from Spain, reports in Serbia reveal an attempt by the 'yellows' to sign a Serbian winger.

Vojvodina president Dragoljub Zbiljic stated that the club rejected a 'multi-million euro' offer from Maccabi Tel Aviv for Lazar Randjelovic, and that the decision was made out of a desire to keep him as one of the central players in the fight for the championship.

'Today we rejected the offer from Maccabi for Lazar Randjelovic. After a conversation with the club, he will extend his contract and remain at Vojvodina. He is a very important player for us, a national team player, and we are building the team around him. Our goal is to fight for the championship.' — said Zbiljic.

According to him, despite interest in several players, Vojvodina does not intend to sell more than two during the transfer window. 'We have quite a few offers for players, but we want to keep the squad. I think we are on the right path to bring back the championship title,' he added.

29-year-old Randjelovic is one of Vojvodina's stars. The Serbian winger, who has also made appearances for the Serbian national team, previously played for Olympiacos, Leganes, and Augsburg. Since joining Vojvodina, he has made 52 appearances, in which he scored nine goals and provided 16 assists.

Randjelovic's contract expires at the end of the upcoming season, but if the president's words come to fruition, he is expected to extend his commitment and remain at the club, despite the interest from Maccabi Tel Aviv.
