Israel Airports Authority Chairman Iftach Ron-Tal Increases Stake in AirEngi
AirEngi Chairman of the Board, Major General (res.) Iftach Ron-Tal, and CEO Tal Raz have jointly purchased 28,285 shares of the company. The move follows the publication of H1 2026 financial reports, which showed a significant strengthening of the company's equity and balance sheet.

AirEngi Tech Ltd. Chairman of the Board, Major General (res.) Iftach Ron-Tal (who also serves as Chairman of the Israel Airports Authority), and CEO Tal Raz are increasing their holdings in the company. The two jointly purchased 28,285 shares of the company, which operates in the fields of long-term energy storage, project initiation and execution, and electricity generation.
The move comes after AirEngi published its financial reports for the first half of 2026, in which it presented a strengthening of the company's equity and balance sheet.
According to the reports, during the first half of the year, equity grew by approximately 88% and totaled about 81.6 million shekels, compared to about 43.5 million shekels at the end of 2025. At the same time, the balance sheet grew by approximately 126% and totaled 127.1 million shekels, compared to 56.3 million shekels last year. The company's equity-to-balance ratio stands at approximately 64.2%.
The acquisitions by Ron-Tal and Raz come against the backdrop of the implementation of AirEngi's strategic plan, as reflected in the deals reported by the company during 2026. AirEngi operates along the value chain in the energy sector, from initiation and development, through construction (EPC), to the operation of income-generating energy assets.
The company's activities include CAPP technology — Compressed Air Power Plant, a long-term storage solution based on compressed air in salt caverns; BESS activity, which includes battery storage and energy production in Europe; and an initiation and EPC arm in Israel, which deals with the planning and execution of energy projects.
As part of its operations in Europe, the company is developing and acquiring a portfolio of income-generating assets and storage projects in markets including Italy, Poland, the UK, and Germany. In Israel, the company is involved, among other things, in agro-voltaic projects and projects for the security establishment.
