Renowned TV presenter Avri Gilad took a break from the complex reality in Israel, shared his vacation habits, and revealed the new hobby that has completely captivated him.
While many Israelis are using the summer vacation to rest and escape the routine, Avri Gilad chose to convey a slightly different message to his followers. In a video filmed during his stay in Thailand, he shared that he went away to take a break from all the "difficult frequencies" that accompany the reality in Israel, admitting that the quiet he found there does him good.
According to him, while the public discourse in Israel is full of arguments and divisions, the atmosphere in Thailand is completely different. "Instead of left and right, you hear 'Sawasdee-kha' and 'Khop-khun-kha' all the time. It is very, very pleasant," he said with a smile.
However, Gilad emphasized that for him, going on vacation is not a reason to neglect his health. "Vacation is essentially a break for the soul, but we cannot take a break from our body," he explained. He shared that he goes to the gym every day to train, even while on holiday. According to him, the connection between body and soul is particularly tight:
"When I work hard, my soul is calm. When I neglect my body, my soul is also turbulent."
He added that precisely when there is more leisure time and less pressure, it is worth taking the opportunity to dedicate time to physical activity. He even recommended that those planning a vacation should not forget to pack sportswear or sneakers to incorporate workouts even away from home.
Beyond the gym, Gilad discovered a new hobby during his stay that has completely captivated him. He fell in love with padel—a sport that combines elements of tennis and other racket games. He noted that since discovering it, he and his friends play every day, even in intense heat and without air conditioning. "We don't care, just give us padel," he said with enthusiasm.
He ended the video with characteristic humor, declaring that upon his return to Israel, he intends to open his own padel club and even invited his followers to "sign up in advance," promising with a smile that the prices will be affordable.
