Mifal HaPais CEO resigns after 6.5 years: new role revealed
Advocate Beni Dreyfuss, who announced his departure as CEO of Mifal HaPais yesterday, has been appointed Chairman of the Eilat-Ashkelon Pipeline Company (EAPC). He will assume the position on September 1, 2026.
A day after announcing the end of his tenure as CEO of Mifal HaPais, the next destination for Advocate Beni Dreyfuss has been revealed. Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich announced today the appointment of Dreyfuss as Chairman of the Eilat-Ashkelon Pipeline Company (EAPC).
Dreyfuss will assume his new position on September 1, 2026. He will replace Michal Abadi-Boiangiu, who served as Chair of EAPC until her appointment at the beginning of 2026 as Accountant General at the Ministry of Finance.
Yesterday, Dreyfuss informed the board of directors of Mifal HaPais of his decision to conclude his 6.5-year tenure as CEO. During his time in office, he led the organization's business and social initiatives, expanded collaborations with local authorities, and promoted projects in education, culture, welfare, and community development.
Since the outbreak of the "Iron Swords" war, Dreyfuss has been instrumental in leading the emergency operations of Mifal HaPais and increasing support for local authorities and Israeli residents, with a focus on those in the South and North.
Prior to his role at Mifal HaPais, Dreyfuss served as CEO of the Ministry of Construction and Housing. Previously, as acting Deputy CEO and Head of the Senior Marketing Division, he was a key figure in implementing the "Mehir LeMishtaken" (Price for the Resident) program, including land marketing and lottery operations.
