Noa Kirel's difficult step: "I felt it physically in my body"
Israel's biggest pop star shares the difficult feelings that accompanied her during the filming of the show "The Voice," and tells of the moment she had to reject young contestants and the challenging physical impact she experienced.

Behind the huge stages and the familiar smile, Noa Kirel is currently dealing with one of the most complex roles of her career as a mentor on "The Voice." She shares the difficult feelings that accompanied her during the contestant elimination stage, where she had to reduce the team from 18 to only 8 contestants and face the difficult situation of rejecting young talents.
Kirel describes that the difficulty of saying "no" to so many people affected her both physically and emotionally:
"It was really hard for me, I really started to sweat, I felt it in my body. I don't think I've ever been in a situation where I say 'no' to so many people. And I am emotionally invested and I am total. It was not simple, and I also saw their faces, they were very disappointed."
Seeing the disappointment and tears in the eyes of the contestants, especially the younger ones, resonated with her as someone who herself experienced quite a few negative answers at the beginning of the road: "It wasn't simple for me either, I was at auditions and they mainly told me 'no', there's nothing to do."
At the same time, Kirel chose to turn this difficult moment into an important life lesson for the contestants: "I also told them to use this 'no' so that it gives them motivation, and desire, and even more hunger to prove and continue. In the end, it's part of the game, and it only prepares them. Whoever really wants a career needs to understand that they will deal with 'no'. Sometimes it's also part of my job to say 'no', I'm still learning that."
Despite the emotional price and the not-so-simple experience, Kirel comes out of this stage fully confident in the choices she made and expresses great pride in the eight who remained by her side: "I am very, very, very satisfied and proud of my team. I have very talented people. Each one brings something different, some story, full of character, and also good singers."
