Ministry of Economy Expands Cooperation with Lockheed Martin

Minister of Economy and Industry Nir Barkat held a professional meeting in Jerusalem last week with senior Lockheed Martin officials, led by Orlando Sanchez Jr., president of the aviation division. The discussions focused on the shared goal of examining and establishing new avenues for expanding cooperation between the corporation and the industry and technology companies operating in Israel.

The high-level meeting was attended by the CEO of Lockheed Martin Israel, Tal Glauer, along with representatives from the company's innovation and aviation platform development divisions. On behalf of the Ministry of Economy, attendees included Director of the Industrial Division Nurit Ravino, representatives of the Industrial Cooperation Authority led by Hovav Raf, as well as senior officials of the National Growth Administration, Shlomo Levi and Elinor Jacobson.

During the meeting, Lockheed Martin representatives reviewed the company's extensive activity in Israel, focusing on existing subcontracting ties and joint projects. Simultaneously, the Ministry of Economy presented a comprehensive overview of Israel's industrial and technological ecosystem, emphasizing the unique capabilities of the local market in security, aviation, and cyber sectors.

Hovav Raf, Director of Business Development at the Industrial Cooperation Authority, noted:

"Lockheed Martin has long-standing activity and extensive industrial cooperation in Israel, and there is potential for expanding cooperation, both within the framework of existing projects and in other areas where the company operates. During the meeting, several possible directions for cooperation were raised, which will be examined further with the relevant parties in the company."
