The primary reason, according to Amir, is that the IDF "simply chose on its own not to update either the public or the political echelon." Amir clarified that the political leadership "does not appreciate this conduct," adding that Minister of Defense Israel Katz is expected to discuss the matter with the Chief of Staff. As of now, the IDF has no intention of responding to this violation, though this could change in the coming hours.
