Shopping giant AliExpress shakes up the market in Israel: thousands of products at 80% discount

Ahead of the start of the school year, AliExpress is launching its annual 'Back to School' sale, which will take place between August 17 and August 28. The event includes a wide range of products, from school and office supplies to technology products and home goods at up to 80% discount.

At the same time, the platform is upgrading the shopping and shipping experience for consumers in Israel, with shorter delivery times, more precise selection of collection points, and a lower threshold for free home delivery.

Orders placed under AliExpress Choice arrive within an estimated delivery time of about 14 days, with some orders arriving within just 9 days. Shortening delivery times allows consumers to prepare for the school year and order a variety of products and equipment in advance. This upgrade is particularly relevant during the back-to-school period, when demand for equipment and related products rises.

As part of the upgrades, the company has lowered the eligibility threshold for free home delivery from 169 shekels to 139 shekels. This move allows more consumers to enjoy the benefit even on orders for smaller amounts. The benefit applies to home deliveries only, while shipping terms to collection points remain unchanged. In addition to shipping costs, in some cases, additional charges may apply to the order, such as VAT, customs duties, and clearance fees.

AliExpress has also upgraded the process of selecting a collection point. From now on, when placing an order, consumers can mark the delivery address directly on a map, so that the recommended collection point can be matched to their exact location. This update is intended to make the process of collecting packages more convenient and simple.
