Cyber giant Fortinet reports over 50% revenue jump: Stock rises 5%

Fortinet, a developer of information security products, firewalls, and cyber defense systems, reports that product revenues in the second quarter of 2026 totaled 773 million dollars, a 52% increase compared to the same quarter last year.

Fortinet, an American multinational company that develops information security products, firewalls, and cyber defense systems, has published its financial results for the quarter ending June 30, 2026. The data shows that the company's total revenues during the second quarter reached 2.05 billion dollars, representing a 26% growth compared to 1.63 billion dollars in the second quarter of 2025.

Product revenues reached 773 million dollars in the second quarter, a 52% jump compared to 508.9 million dollars in the same quarter last year. Bookings totaled 2.37 billion dollars, an increase of 33% compared to 1.77 billion dollars in the same quarter last year. The report also indicates that the operating margin according to GAAP reached 34% in the second quarter, while the non-GAAP operating margin reached 38%.

"We are very pleased with the excellent results of the second quarter, which reflected the unique value of Fortinet's innovation in the era of artificial intelligence," said Ken Xie, founder, chairman, and CEO of Fortinet.

The executive further added:

"Our results show that customers value Fortinet's SASE Firewall, which includes a leading firewall device, SD-WAN, and SASE functionality integrated into our operating system, FortiOS, and powered by our dedicated FortiASIC. This offers customers flexible deployment in a sovereign configuration, on-premises, and in the cloud."

Fortinet stock is traded on the NASDAQ exchange. As of the time of writing, the stock is recording a 4.99% increase in today's trading. Over the past week, the company's stock has jumped by 6.29%, and in the last month, it rose by 3.65%. In the last three months, the stock recorded a significant increase of 87.68%, and in the last half-year, Fortinet stock has surged by 99.23%.

In parallel with the financial results, Fortinet presented recent strategic moves. The technology company announced a collaboration with Intel to develop the Fortinet Security Processor 6 (SP6), combining Fortinet's proprietary expertise in security processors with Intel's advanced design and manufacturing capabilities, aiming to accelerate SP6 development while strengthening the resilience of Fortinet's global supply chain.

Additionally, the company launched the FortiGate 1200G series with FortiSASE Outpost, which combines local enforcement and cloud security to address customers' evolving requirements for sovereignty, performance, and AI infrastructure. The combination of firewall and SASE technologies creates a new market category called "SASE Firewall," built for the reality of today's hybrid world.

Among other initiatives, Fortinet led a collaboration with Anthropic on the Glasswing (Mythos) project. It also collaborated with OpenAI on the Daybreak (GPT 5.5 Cyber) project and with Nvidia as a founding company of the recently announced Open Secure AI Alliance for AI Safety and Security.
