F.C. Ashdod has urgently appealed to the court to move the proceedings forward. According to the club, every day is critical, as the Israeli Premier League season is set to begin in just three weeks.
Ashdod claims it should be the team to replace Ironi Tiberias in the top flight. The club fears the case will be delayed, noting that if Ironi Tiberias receives a severe penalty, they may appeal to the Supreme Court or even a civil court.
F.C. Ashdod’s lawyer, Amit Hadad, has sent letters to FIFA and UEFA, updating them on the situation regarding a team facing trial for the use of prohibited substances. Ashdod is currently awaiting the court's ruling on the request to expedite the process.
