Knesset Member Yoav Segalovitz Officially Resigns
Following his announcement to leave politics, the prominent Yesh Atid representative submitted his official resignation letter to Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana today. Michal Kabava Salvani is expected to take his seat in parliament.
It is now official: today, Sunday, Yoav Segalovitz of the Yesh Atid party submitted his resignation from the Knesset to Speaker Amir Ohana. According to the Yesh Atid party list, Michal Kabava Salvani is expected to replace him and serve as a Knesset member.

As previously announced, Knesset member Yoav Segalovitz, a former Deputy Minister of Public Security, stated on Thursday that he is resigning from the Knesset and ending his role within the party:
"Throughout the years, I had the privilege to influence issues close to my heart, both as a Knesset member and as the Deputy Minister of Public Security. I wish to thank Yair Lapid, my fellow Knesset members, and the party activists for the partnership, trust, and joint work for the sake of the State of Israel."
In his past career, Segalovitz served as a police major general and led a determined fight against crime and violence in Arab society, an effort that earned him widespread appreciation. Local authority leaders and public figures in the sector have frequently praised his direct involvement in the field and his central role in leading government programs to eradicate violence.
In response to his resignation, Yair Lapid praised his tenure, noting that throughout his years in the party, Segalovitz acted with integrity and professionalism for the benefit of the country's citizens and the preservation of the rule of law. Lapid also highlighted their joint work during the "government of change" period to curb crime in Israel, thanking him for his significant contribution to the party and the country.
