Budget Deficit in July Remained at 3.3% of GDP

The state budget deficit remained stable at 3.3% of GDP for the 12 months ending in July, unchanged from June and well below the annual target of 4.9% set in the state budget, according to the Accountant General's department at the Ministry of Finance.
Since the beginning of the year, a deficit of 11.5 billion shekels has accumulated, compared to 37.2 billion shekels in the same period of 2025. State revenues in July totaled 55 billion shekels, up from 48.1 billion shekels in July of last year. Year-to-date revenues have risen by 11.8% to 362.1 billion shekels. Meanwhile, expenditures in July totaled 59.9 billion shekels, and have increased by 3.5% to 373.6 billion shekels since the start of the year.
