Minister of Settlements and National Missions Orit Strock shared in a special interview that she never planned to enter public life and was, in fact, "pulled by force" into the work. In a new episode of the program "On the way to the ballot box with Dana Varon" on the C14 YouTube channel, Minister Strock revealed how it all began, explaining that her decision was not planned in advance but stemmed from the dramatic circumstances in Judea and Samaria.

According to the minister, even before she officially entered public service, she was frequently asked to speak at meetings in her settlement with senior officials, including regional commanders and government ministers. One of the main reasons, she noted, was the desire for a female and values-based voice to be present at these discussions. The turning point occurred after the shooting incident carried out by Baruch Goldstein at the Cave of the Patriarchs, when, amid fears of the evacuation of the Jewish community in Hebron, people came to her home and asked her to mobilize for the cause.

Minister Strock described the moment they knocked on her door and told her that it was a "Tzav 8" (emergency call-up) to save the settlement, which led her to fully commit to public work. She also shared the significant challenges she faced as a religious woman entering a public sphere that was then almost entirely male, describing a sense of alienation and loneliness without a support system or close friends. The full episode of the program is available for viewing on the official C14 YouTube channel.
