Peace Council: Gaza 'starvation' campaign is a lie

The Peace Council claimed today, Wednesday, in a post on its official X account that "the latest report on Gaza provides irrefutable evidence: food supply has increased dramatically, nutrition has improved dramatically, and health continues to show critical progress."

Further in its statement, the Peace Council added: "There is still much work to be done to turn Gaza into an environment of peace, prosperity, and security for Israel. For this to happen, we need all parties to uphold their commitments and fully implement the comprehensive peace plan of President Donald Trump."

As a reminder, while the "starvation campaign" in Gaza continues to rage globally, in practice, hundreds of aid trucks enter the strip regularly — sometimes at the cost of sharp criticism from opposition figures regarding this policy of the Israeli government. The data from the report upon which the Peace Council's statement was based comes following a meeting between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and senior members of the Peace Council together with Jared Kushner, about a month ago. At the conclusion of the discussions, it was agreed to establish two working groups that will deal with the future of the Gaza Strip. At the same time, it was agreed to establish an additional team to handle sanitation, clean water supply, and public health issues in the Gaza Strip.
