Chef Israel Aharoni shares a provocative post: the internet reacts
The beloved chef, who recently celebrated his 75th birthday, surprised followers with an unusual image of himself as a mythical creature, sparking a wave of online speculation.

Chef Israel Aharoni, one of Israel's most respected culinary figures and a pioneer of Chinese cuisine and modern gastronomy, recently celebrated his 75th birthday. However, instead of a standard celebratory post, he chose to surprise his followers with something truly bizarre.
Aharoni uploaded an image to his Instagram page that appears to have been generated using artificial intelligence. The photo depicts a figure with a human upper body—bearing an impressively muscular physique—and the lower body of a horse. In essence, the chef presented himself as a centaur, a creature from Greek mythology.
What made the post even more intriguing was the complete lack of explanation, caption, or context. The photo was published on its own, leaving followers and the ice editorial team to speculate about the chef's true intentions.
The internet did not remain indifferent. The post garnered numerous reactions, with users eagerly sharing their interpretations. Among the comments were amusing remarks:
"Scenes from the Odyssey that were left on the cutting room floor."
"A waste that this whole body is working on cutting butternut squash."
Another user simply defined the photo as "the most successful use of artificial intelligence." Regardless of the intent, by remaining silent, Aharoni managed to generate significant interest, leaving his followers with plenty of questions and an image that is impossible to ignore.
