Ron Nesher reveals a difficult period in his life: he shared that he has been dealing with financial struggles for seven years. Regarding the recent months, he stated: "I have four children at home, and it's madness." He also reflected on a time when he lived on the streets for about six months.
Rapper and creator Ron Nesher revealed in a podcast hosted by comedian Asaf Mor Yosef that he has been battling financial difficulties for years. According to him, he hasn't had an easy year since 2019: "I am experiencing my own 'seven hard years' recently. It is very, very difficult."
Nesher, 42, also addressed the financial responsibility he carries at home, noting that the last few months have been particularly challenging.
"I have four children at home—one daughter of Yafit and three of my own—and it's madness," he said.
He explained that the conclusion of projects he was involved in, including "Goalstar," only added to the strain. Nesher noted that as an artist, the constant financial pressure makes it hard to focus on his creative work. He also spoke about his opinionated nature and the professional price he pays for it: "People won't do collaborations or campaigns with me because I am a person who speaks his mind." He added that he is fully aware he chose this path.
One of the most striking revelations in the interview concerned a difficult period from his past. Nesher shared that when he was young, he lived on the streets for about half a year—an experience that, according to him, provides perspective even in the face of current hardships.
"I already lived for half a year on the streets when I was young; I am not afraid to eat from trash cans," he said.
However, he emphasized that today the situation stresses him differently, as he has children and must provide for his family. Despite the complex period, Nesher remains optimistic about the future and continues to work, hoping that the coming months will bring improvement.
Before this podcast interview, Nesher had already disclosed his financial struggles on social media. During an Instagram Q&A session last month, he revealed that for two months he couldn't earn a living and even struggled to pay rent. "We have been on the edge every month for a long time," he wrote. In that same session, he explained his participation in the "Goalstar" program simply: "I needed the money." Later, he admitted that in retrospect, he regrets his participation after being exposed to the people involved in the production.
