The opening whistle of the 2026/27 Premier League season will sound in two days, this Saturday. Today, betting agencies revealed the odds for winning the national championship following last season's victory by Hapoel Be'er Sheva. The rankings are surprising, especially in light of the unusual summer that the big clubs have experienced.

Last season's champion, Hapoel Be'er Sheva, opens the campaign as the clear favorite to retain the title, receiving odds of 2.5 for a second consecutive win. Immediately following them is the State Cup holder, Maccabi Tel Aviv, with odds of 2.7, following their victory over the southerners in the Champion of Champions match and with their squad expected to undergo further reinforcements before the transfer window closes.

Closing the top three is Beitar Jerusalem under Almog Cohen, which holds stable odds of 3.0 and enjoys the significant advantage of not having the burden of European travel and matches. In fourth place stands Hapoel Tel Aviv under Elyaniv Barda with odds of 5.5, while Maccabi Haifa and Barak Bakhar lag far behind in fifth place with odds of 7.5, following lukewarm performances in the season-opening Toto Cup games.
