National Insurance Institute advances payments: up to 39,428 shekels on 3 different dates
The Tishrei holidays are just around the corner, and the National Insurance Institute is advancing payment dates for hundreds of thousands of Israelis. Here are all the details regarding deposit dates to bank accounts, eligibility, and benefit amounts as of 2026.

The first date, September 8, is dedicated to unemployment benefits and income support benefits, which were advanced specifically for the Rosh Hashanah holiday. The funds are intended for registered job seekers and low-income families. Unemployment benefits are calculated individually based on the salary the employee earned before stopping work and can reach a ceiling of 13,769 shekels per month. At the same time, income support benefits will range from 1,800 shekels for individuals to over 5,000 shekels for families with children, depending on age and family composition.
The second date, September 20, belongs to child benefits, which will be deposited on the regular date directly into parents' bank accounts. The benefit stands at 173 shekels for the first child, 219 shekels for each child (from the second to the fourth), and 173 shekels from the fifth child onwards. Added to these amounts are 58 shekels deposited by the state into the 'Savings for Every Child' program. This benefit has no maximum ceiling, and the final amount is derived from the number of children in the family.
The third date will fall on September 22, when all long-term benefits will be advanced from the 28th of the month due to the Sukkot holiday. This date includes the most significant payments: work injury benefits will be paid to employees who were injured and earned a high salary before their injury, and can reach a maximum ceiling of 39,428 shekels per month. Severely disabled individuals eligible for a general disability pension and special services (SHARAM) will be able to receive a combined payment reaching approximately 13,837 shekels. On the same day, old-age pensions, which can exceed 6,000 shekels for a couple, will be deposited, alongside nursing care benefits, mobility benefits, survivor benefits, and alimony.
