The city where an apartment with a MAMAD in a high-rise was sold for a million shekels
The public is torn between a spacious apartment with a MAMAD on the periphery and a small apartment in the big city. How much does a small apartment in a major city cost, and transactions in Holon and Bat Yam show that it is possible to purchase apartments without a MAMAD for less than 2 million shekels.
The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) reports that apartment prices have risen. The Ministry of Finance notes that the number of transactions has increased, but expresses concern about the future. Its forecast remains pessimistic due to a wave of cancellations. In the meantime, part of the public is torn between purchasing an apartment with a MAMAD on the periphery and buying an apartment in the center, without a MAMAD, and sometimes even without parking. Recent years have taught us that a MAMAD is a must in every home. Is it possible to obtain an apartment with a MAMAD in a big city at a reasonable price? When it comes to small apartments, it turns out that yes.
Look at what happened in Haifa: a two-room apartment in a high-rise on Ahad Ha'am Street (54 sqm, 5 sqm balcony, 12th floor out of 24), including parking, an elevator, and a MAMAD, was sold for 1.03 million shekels. This is a very low price, even for the Hadar HaCarmel neighborhood. For a couple with equity of several hundred thousand shekels who want to live in an apartment with almost no mortgage, it is an excellent solution.
As you will see below, if you head south to Be'er Sheva, you can find even larger and more spacious apartments, but without a MAMAD.
