The Spanish national team star previously expressed his desire to leave Manchester City and return to his homeland. The 30-year-old midfielder is expected to receive a four-year contract at Barcelona if the move is completed.
The Spaniard recently returned to Manchester and arrived at the team's training complex on Friday.
