Eden Pines faced backlash today after uploading photos from Paris in which she is pictured in a top that reveals a flat and thin stomach. One of the comments was from Liat Blue, who wrote:

"I look at this picture and my heart shrinks. I am not writing this against Eden Pines, I wish her only happiness. I am writing this against a culture that sanctifies extreme thinness."

Blue added: "As someone who has gone through eating disorders, was hospitalized, and still struggles to this day, I know where such pictures can lead children and teenagers. It is time to stop admiring thinness and start admiring health, because eating disorders are the mental illness with one of the highest mortality rates; no picture and no trend is worth a child's life."

The person who did not like the comment was Adi, Eden Pines' sister, who responded in her story:

"There is a difficult and irresponsible process here. Taking personal thoughts and turning them into a story in a one-sided manner, while creating a distorted and offensive representation of another woman, is shameful, ugly, and humiliating."

She added that Eden has suffered from such criticism herself for years and uses her platform to encourage self-acceptance. "Discourse about thinness can be triggering, especially among those who suffer from eating disorders. I always say, everything has a form and a way. This is not a constructive or responsible discourse. And certainly, it is not appropriate to use such a sensitive topic, not to supposedly promote an issue and not to generate personal buzz. There is a choice of harsh and unfounded words here. This is not just because she is my sister, this is for all the girls who read criticism every day and deal with one body image or another."
