Star of "Eretz Nehederet" on the separation from her partner: "It happened because of October 7th"
Gitit Fisher shares about the turmoil that led to a painful separation from the father of her son, the difficult days she went through as a security inspector at age 26, and the surprising way she reached Israel's leading satirical program.
Actress and comedian Gitit Fisher broke into the public consciousness thanks to a series of viral videos she created for YouTube, in which she played the beloved character "Tutit". In an interview for the program "Good Evening with Guy Pines", Fisher shared about the separation from her partner and the father of her son, the professional path she built over the years, and the opportunity she received to join the cast of the satirical program "Eretz Nehederet".
"At the age of 26, I took a security inspector course with a lot of 19-year-olds. The gap was felt, I didn't have friends there. This happens when you are already a graduate of an acting school," shared Fisher. Later in her remarks, the actress said that she dealt with difficult moments. "You feel a bit stupid because you are an adult with children around you. Someone was debating whether she should study acting, so one of the employees talked about me behind my back and thought I didn't hear and said: 'Don't do it, look at Gitit'. I heard it. It's insulting, but I said to myself: 'Okay, wait'."
After three years as a security inspector, the character "Tutit" arrived, which conquered YouTube and became viral on social networks. Slowly, Fisher picked up sparkling roles in talked-about television series. After some time, the opportunity arrived to star in the satirical program "Eretz Nehederet".
"Muli didn't call and offer me. I didn't go through the front door because that's probably not my character. I always enter through the suppliers' entrance," shared Gitit Fisher. Shortly before the series "Bodeket" was born, Fisher and her partner decided to separate after six years. "It happened because of October 7th. I think it really shook me and him. It just collapsed. The child experienced a separation. He is moving to my father's, and he is separating from me. We did this to him, it's hard. I am also a daughter of divorced parents."
Alongside this, Gitit Fisher admitted that she is interested in a new relationship and admitted: "I don't know how people meet. Come on, grow some balls, hit on me. Whoever has enough balls to hit on me will probably be a decent person. People hit on me, but not the way I would like. Apparently, I am intimidating."
