"The reason there is no security": Protesters block aid trucks to Gaza

Protest against the transfer of humanitarian aid at the Gaza border: dozens of Israelis are gathering with the Tzav 9 organization and the Gaza Envelope Israel movement to call for a halt to the entry of aid trucks.

The protest comes against the backdrop of 10 incendiary kites launched from the Gaza Strip towards the border area over the past month. Protesters seek to convey a message against plans to rehabilitate the strip without disarming Hamas. Demonstrators claimed that the trucks' departure was moved to 6:30 AM this morning (Tuesday) to prevent them from interfering with the aid entry.

"These are the trucks that pass to Hamas. The same Hamas that strengthens itself and makes money from these trucks. It reinforces Hamas. This is the reason there is no security for the residents of the envelope," noted one of the protesters while pointing at the blocked trucks.

Dani Rahamim, spokesperson for Kibbutz Nahal Oz, gave a speech:

"After the October 7th atrocities committed by Hamas monsters, there is no chance that we will accept that Hamas will still rule in Gaza. It will not happen."

Amit Caspi, a resident of Kerem Shalom who took part in the demonstration, spoke about the situation prior to October 7th:

"Until October 6th, Hamas sat on our kibbutz fence located near here. Anyone who thinks that October 7th cannot happen again is living in a fantasy. Even now, if 500 or 1000 Hamasniks run towards the border, no one can stop them. I am not demanding an interpretation, I am demanding the full destruction of Hamas."

After blocking the trucks, the protesters continued their demonstration at the entrance to the international base located near the Gaza Strip.

"This is not a political event"

Gilad Erdan, chairman of the "Ha-Achdut" (Unity) party, arrived at the scene to participate and speak without prior coordination with the organizers. When he began to speak, he faced immediate opposition, as protesters shouted and demanded that he not turn the protest into a political one. Dani, a resident of Kibbutz Nahal Oz, shouted at him: "This is not a political event, do not turn it into a political one, stop speaking."

Erdan stated:

"We arrived here this morning to identify with the residents of the South and the envelope, and to support their struggle demanding the government not return to the old concept and continue to destroy Hamas. The kites are returning, and instead of knocking down buildings in Gaza and thwarting senior Hamas officials, they only send warnings. Aid trucks for the cursed population in the Gaza Strip that wants to destroy us are entering before Hamas has been destroyed. We demand the government does not return to the concept. Security for the residents of the South now."
