Hapoel Tel Aviv continues to mark out high-profile targets as part of its roster-building efforts for the upcoming season, with news emerging this evening, Sunday, that the club is considering the addition of Maxi Kleber (34, 2.08m) to strengthen the frontcourt in the squad being built by Dimitris Itoudis.

The German forward-center played for the Los Angeles Lakers last season, and prior to that, he played for eight seasons with the Dallas Mavericks. Kleber, who has nine seasons under his belt in the best league in the world, began his career at Würzburg in the German league, continued for a season at Obradoiro in Spain, and then played two seasons for Bayern Munich, where he averaged 9 points and 5.3 rebounds in his second season.

In the summer of 2017, he moved to the NBA and signed with the Dallas Mavericks. Last season, he moved to the Los Angeles Lakers and averaged 2 points and 2 rebounds in 43 games. In total, the German forward-center recorded 531 games in the NBA, with averages of 6 points and 4.2 rebounds per game in the regular season. In the playoffs, he averaged 5.9 points and 3.6 rebounds per game.
